Military operations of Nineveh continue in its sixth weak as it move in all axes, which were prepared on the ground according to the plan prepared by the command of the international coalition, which took several directions and paths as a result of confrontations and clashes that occur when they face the elements and fighters of Daesh according to the fortifications and capabilities and plans carried out by the Iraqi military and security forces facing the preparations that are prepared and implemented on the field by the military leaders of the Daesh.
And we can record the most important events that have passed through the first week of the second month at the start of operations in accordance with the following:
1.the troops of the ninth division were able and within the axis of Alkwyr to control of the city of the archaeological Nimrud after wide clashes with Daesh fighters during which they were able to bring life to this city and the surrounding villages , having seen the grave events represented in the performance of elements Daesh to smash all the relics and treasures that represent the depth and the roots of the Assyrian civilization and the history of the city and its lights to the world.
- Regarding the northern axis , the command of 16 division and fighters of the guard of Nineveh concentrated with it have contributed to the continuing to advance toward the area around the district of Tilkaif and try to enter to it after they have encircled it from all sides, in addition to its control over the Salam village and Tel Abbasid which open the road toward the residential neighborhoods of the city of Mosul .
- The formations of counter-terrorism are still progressing within the residential neighborhoods of the city of Mosul and trying to end the operations of inspections and the removal of mines and explosives from the neighborhoods which have been controlled completely , namely , (Aden -Tahrir-Al-Qadisiya al-Thaniah) with progress toward neighborhoods of (al-Muoalmeen- Moharebeen – Al-Olmaa- Masarif and the continuation of the clashes in it which led to the use of the alternative military plans to address the situation on the ground by using light weapons and the war in the streets because of the breadth of the geographical patch and the contiguity of neighborhoods and proximity to each other , making it difficult to move easily and in addition to the presence of fire lines and the spread of bomb wheels between the Sub streets and near the houses of citizens with the continued artillery shelling by both parties ( the security forces and fighters of Daesh).
4.Western axes took many dimensions and have become to form a paramount importance in the expected results of these operations because of the involvement of the fighters of popular crowd and their field control on military Tal Afar airport which is of strategic importance and centrality in this sector , and therefore we are in front of a large combat confront within the center of the district of Tal Afar , due to its importance and its proximity to the Iraqi-Syrian border and its Southern scope of view on the city of Mosul , where there is only 65 km away from it, as it is only 70 km from the Iraqi-Turkish border, and as we know that the Turkish government and on the lips of many of its political and military leaderships announced and warned about the involvement of the popular crowd and their involvement in the military operations in Tal Afar and emphasized the need to protect the civilians in it and not bringing about the demographic change of the population and the preservation of Turkmen Sunni identity of the district and thus the repercussions and grave events could be occurred that we will see them in the coming days as a result of clashes and confrontations that will occur inside and in the vicinity of Tal Afar ,especially after the process of mass displacement of people of the district , which amounted (4) thousands of families , fear of the consequences that will occur due to the entrance of crowd fighters and cases of murder and revenge that may occur among the people after the involvement of the fighters of Turkmen crowd under the name of Brigade 92 that belongs to the popular crowd .
5.The objectives set for the southern axis led by the 15 division and fighters of the Federal police and the regiments of emergency of the province of Nineveh are still seeking to emphasize the importance of its progress towards the area of ( Albu Saif) being an important major node within this axis towards Mosul city center and it ‘s the main axis which will open the progress to these formations and to control the areas and places within the city, including the (Turkish consulate headquarters in Aldndan- the previous HQ of the command for the military operations- , the military airport of Mosul – Ghazlani Camp) .
- The troops assigned to thesouth -east axis were unable to expand the circle of its military operations , but in the Intisar neighborhood with a slow and partial progress toward al-Salam neighborhood because of the ongoing confrontations and fortifications and obstacles placed by Daesh fighters in front of the attacking force and the population density of the residential areas following the Intisar neighborhood , thus we see that this axis will remain an obstacle to complete all of the objectives planned in the operations of the liberations of Nineveh .
7.The most prominent event is the bombing carried out by the aviation of the international coalition on the rest of the bridges connecting between the right and left coasts of the city of Mosul ,and they became out for service in the event that a lot of political and military analysts did not expect , who had all gone to the possibility of bombing the bridges by the military leaders of Daesh but the justification announced by American military commanders was not a justification for carrying out the bombing of the bridges because the affected ones are the people of the city and its residents that will increase their suffering and their movements and methods and the potential for their displacement.
- The increase of the number of displaced families from the northern city of Mosul and its surroundings towards the IDP camps in the regions of Khazar and Husen sham and numbered (75) thousand of the displaced people and as we expected and we have emphasized in previous articles, the crowds of displaced people still lack of the most basic decent living requirements of health care and the providing of water, food and electricity , and the completion of the capacity of housing of these tents and the lack of proper preparation for the completion of construction and preparation of subsequent tents and camps .
