Is it possible for Iraq to take advantage of the trends and policies of Trump?
Trump has spoken in at least ten different occasions during his election campaign in speeches and interviews and different programs about Iraq , where it can be found on some of these interviews in the video below :
He has used the following phrases : {When we went to Iraq , I suppose we’re going to take Iraq ‘s oil, there like the say about the war –it uses to be , to the victor belong the spoils, the winner is the one who gets the spoils -} also said {if we leave Iraq as a real let us have oil for us / the US should take the oil out of Iraq if the matter related to me , I will take the oil of Iraq } a {less what the Iraqis have to pay us is 1.5 trillion dollars in exchange for their liberation { I also said , by the way , four years ago , attack the oil, take the wealth a way , attack the oil and keep the oil { I will be taking their wealth, I will be taking Iraqi oil}.
The one who understands politics knows that these demands can not be achieved, and they may have been said during the election campaign , where he also said {if I win the election , I will put Mrs. Clinton in jail because she was careless when used the public e – mail } but once he won the election he thanked her and praised by, the dialect spoken by him over Iraq represents the mentality of fighters of American southerners during the civil war between the North and South states , between (1861-1865) , which was to give an advantage to the whites and rejects the abolition of slavery, but this mentality has prevailed again in America after several years of the attacks of September 11 and global terrorism , which spearheaded by groups beyond from Islam and claiming to be fighting in the name of Islam , such as al – Qaeda and Daesh and the likes , as well as many crimes and drug gangs and money laundering in the south and west of the US for many of the Americans with a Latin America origin from Mexico and the countries of south America , Trump’s speech accepted by large numbers of them therefore they have elected him.
But the question here; is that the rhetoric just for publicity of the campaign?
Or is it will be a mentality of the rule for the coming era? The answer: It is even used too much of phrases for electoral purposes, but such a policy would represent the mentality of the governance at least for the next four years of rule by Trump, if it is not extended to eight years if he would be re-elected .
Are Iraqis will suffer adversely from the next American politics ?
The answer .Not necessarily but the US interest to help Iraq at all levels will be less certainly, yes , US will continue to aid and provide soft loans and grants as long as Daesh exists but on the day that will end Daesh in Iraq but according to my belief , a lot of that aid and assistance will diminish, but the danger is in the push for the division of Iraq , Trump has also said when asked by a commentator( Is it by this way you are destroying the Iraq’s wealth) replied (no, there is no Iraq And Iraqis , they are divided into different factions) said that Kurdistan is moving towards secession ,and there are parties calling for the establishing of western regime , Mosul regime , Basrah regime and southern regime noting that all these things are steps towards division and will be occurred if allow this planning , the disputes will be taken place on the borders and water and natural resources , Kurdistan is now about to be an independent state that it has its own army, border and resources and they are united with one goal which is the independence and once they achieve their dream of independence they will face other problems on the political level as well as their relations with neighboring countries like Turkey and Iran , Iraq will remain without Kurdistan they are respected in Iraq , and Iraqis accepted them for the assumption of the highest positions but they are living a dream awaited for decades, independence and have some right to do so , and then after that they will constitute the big Kurdistan with Kurds of Turkey, Iran , and Syria noting that Arabs have lived the same dreams in Arab unity since the fifties of the last century and there was a great national commander General Abdel Nasser and one unitary ideology was available in the two countries under the rule of the Baath party in Iraq and Syria and their motto Arab unity but Arabs suffered much of these dreams and were obliged to abandon these dreams noting that nationalities are not sufficient to establish such state but there are two basic conditions for the establishment the unity the first is the mentality of rulers in giving priority to the public interests over the private interests and the second is a real democratic programs and so for this reason the European unity succeeded with different nationalities , languages and bloody history , unfortunately such mentalities to the governor and true democracy are almost non-existed in our communities and I mean particularly the contemporary Arab and Islamic communities and perhaps the future will be much better because of the increased public awareness.
And go back to the Trump policies; With all the negatives in his speech to Iraq, but perhaps there are participants between the categories of Trump and some of the aspirations of the majority of the Iraqi people underdog who was and still is suffering most of the years since 2003 , from the corrupt politicians who stole the bounties of this people and made him live in the hardships of living, poverty, killing and displacement, bombings and kidnappings and robberies, the first ones who are responsible for this suffering are the politicians of chance who brought us to this state .
Trump says about these politicians {The rulers in Iraq are corrupt , everything is completely corrupt} {also they say that Iraq is a sovereign, do not you see how these people – the politicians- are looting , Is this a sovereign state ?}, Yes may be the Americans and their policy in Iraq bear a great responsibility for our tragic reality in which we live, but the corrupt Iraqi human being currently in power remains the first in charge of the suffering in which we live, and is that the joint between Trump and the aspirations of the Iraqi people on the corrupt rulers can lead to understanding between politicians loyal to their country and Trump to retrieve the looted things by the corrupt ? Knowing that we can not to bring back the stolen amounts without coordination with the banking institutions of America , which alone can only know the fate of many of these stolen funds? There is a meeting soon and is expected between Prime Minister Dr. Haider al – Abadi and between Trump, can this meeting to achieve decisions for the interest of the two countries? That ‘s what be revealed over the coming days, regardless Of the outcome of the talks with Trump, It requires a bold step by Dr. Haider al-Abadi and bring companies for criminal check the (Forensic Auditing) to retrieve the looted money.
However I say that we can not stand up to our country only by relying on ourselves; not America neither Trump nor any other country; three specifications required only for those who should rule the country; I: integrity, loyalty, and the second: competence and capacity, and the third: courage and boldness and it is however the people who put their voice in the ballot box and if the majority of people ant to get rid of the corrupt , they alone are capable of changing our bad situation and the advancement of our country , but if the sectarian breath remained dominant the Shiite elect the Shiite and the Sunni elect the Sunni and the Kurdish elect the Kurdish even he is the corrupt then we will stay in our bad situation but when the Sunni took in to the consideration the historical crimes against the Shiite ignoring the crimes of ignorant Shiites against Sunnis and when the Shiite do not take the Sunni in the guilt of Daesh and follow the saying of the great Sistani ( don’t say our Sunni brothers but the Sunnis are ourselves then we can expect a bright future for the country and perhaps the next stage will be better than its predecessors noting that the majority of our people have become more conscious and more aware of the sectarian slogans knowing that they were raised to achieve private interests of the politicians on the account of public citizens whether they are from Shiite politicians or Sunni politicians (Allah does not change a people ‘s lot unless they change what is in their hearts ) and we say may the awareness after these hard years will overcome the ugly sectarianism .
