Despite the warning of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to the US President Donald Trump on the danger of any decision on occupied Jerusalem outside the framework of a comprehensive solution to achieve the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, His Majesty stressed that Jerusalem is the key to achieving peace and stability in the region and the world. On December 6, US President Donald Trump announced in his White House the recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In response to this decision, King Abdullah II’s efforts accelerated where his majesty King Abdullah II personally leading a diplomatic and political effort in each in all directions to o deal with the consequences of the resolution, and to communicate with the capitals of the global decision, through a clear language rejecting the resolution and its implications, as illegal and contrary to international legitimacy.
In response to this decision, His Majesty King Abdullah II participated in the Islamic Summit in Istanbul on December 13 to emphasize that “the region will not enjoy comprehensive peace except by solving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution according to international legitimacy and the Arab initiative leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state with East al-Quds as its capital , and confirmed “The United States’ recognition of al-Quds as the capital of Israel is a dangerous decision that its consequences threaten the security and stability and frustrate efforts to resume the peace process as long as we have always warned of the danger of unilateral decisions related to al-Quds outside the framework of a comprehensive solution that meets the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people in freedom and independent state with its capital in East al-Quds . “The attempts to Judaize al-Quds and change its Islamic Christian Arabic identity will cause more violence and extremism noting that city is holy for the three heavenly religions . The Hashemite guardianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in al-Quds is a historic responsibility that Jordan has the honor to carry on and we will continue our role in countering any attempt to change the historical and legal situation in Al Aqsa Mosque – the holy mosque. In the context of the rejection of the Trump decision, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan voted in favor of a UN General Assembly resolution calling on Washington to withdraw its decision to recognize al-Quds as the capital of Israel. Despite the threat of Trump to cut aid from the countries that vote in favor of the resolution and it is known that Jordan is a country that receives such assistance, however, King Abdullah did not care about that decision.
The Trump resolution formed a state of harmony established for a national political reality embodied by the Jordanians under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II when King Abdullah II praised the citizens’ protests against President Trump’s decision to view al-Quds as the capital of Israel. “The Jordanians are always the pulse of this nation, and what they showed today is a strong feeling towards al-Quds, our first cause, with unmatched cohesion and solidarity, which reflects the dignity and the glory of our people. It is a source of pride for me and every Arab,” said the king, through his personal account at the social networking site Twitter. “He added: “God preserve Jordan and its people as a shield and support to our nation and its people.”
That the courageous position of King Abdullah II that he rejects the decision of Trump stems from the historic role of the sanctity of holy sites in al-Quds , with the utmost seriousness and pride as the descendant of the Hashemite Doha and that means that al-Quds must be under his auspices, and here is His Majesty and with all the power and boldness continue to protect al-Quds , King Abdullah can not stand idly by on conspiracies against al-Quds and holy sites He is the descendant of the most honorable of the creatures, peace and blessings be upon him , and al-Aqsa is the holy and blessing spot where his grandfather has been travelled to and fromit there as his Miraj and the first of the two Qiblah , the second of the mosques and the third of the two holy mosques. His Majesty must feel the fear and concern of the Arab and international situation of defeat and weakness towards the holiest and city and the purest land. His Majesty felt the concern of the Palestinians, the Jordanians, the concern of honorable Arabs and Muslims in this world. It is better to take care of al-Quds. We wonder if the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, the son of Al Hussein, who enjoys political and historical legitimacy, possesses natural resources, such as the possession of some Arab countries of it, which are not used in serving Arab causes. If Jordan had possessed it, it would have used them in the defense of the central issues of the nation Headed by the question of Palestine.
The bottom line : The efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II have always given an Arab and international dimension to the issue of Islamic and Christian sanctities in Al-Quds Al-Sharif and will resolutely stand firm against everything that harms the Islamic and Christian holy sites in implementation of the Hashemite trusteeship over the Holy Places in al-QudsAl-Sharif and his voice will remain strong and whose words are heard even by the deaf and says that al-Quds is a red line that can not be harmed till the last thing in our life. It belongs to the Arab and Islamic nation and our efforts as the Hashemites have remained and will remain the lamp that will illuminate the corridors of al-Quds and its neighborhoods , streets and alleys through an eternal message that will not die as long as pure Hashemites have a breath to smell its precious soil.
