On  ninth day in succession , Iraqi forces are fighting a battle of Mosul after  mobilization of tens of thousands of soldiers, backed by troops of the international coalition forces ,  Peshmerga and factions of the popular crowd, while the estimated number of the organization Daesh fighters in return by between 4000 and 8000, and believed that they had mined the city with explosives and mines, and filled the trenches  with oil as a preparation to setting fire to it, and dug many tunnels and trenches to counter attack.  the early hours  showed  the  successful beginning for battles with the rapid progress of the forces involved in the operation on different axes.

And  the air attack was started by more than 80 air strike carried out by multinational American, French and Iraqi fighters, followed by artillery shelling of the international coalition and the Iraqi army and missile operations of the Peshmerga lasted an hour and a half before the joint forces advancing from seven axes simultaneously, namely: axis Khazar and Mount of  Zrdek eastern Mosul ( Peshmerga), the axes of Makhmour  southeast of Mosul (the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army),  the axes of Qayyarah  southern Mosul,  (the Iraqi army and militias crowd and federal police), theaxes Tel-Askif  north of Mosul  (peshmerga units of Christian volunteers), the axes of ASCI wanah and it is northwest of Mosul (the Iraqi army and peshmerga ), the axes of Mosul Dam northwest of Mosul (the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga), and the axis of Ba’shiqah northeast of Mosul (the peshmerga and Arab tribes). In this air attack, the ground forces did not face great difficulty in retaking control of a large number of villages and about 40 kilometers of agricultural land around Mosul (in the seven axes), which allowed it to come close to a distance of about nine kilometers from the city walls.

And  a battle map  has become with the end of the first day in the following form:

The restoration of nine villages  from the control “Daesh” at the axes  of Khazar east of Mosul. The commander of  units of 70 peshmerga , Jaffar Mustafa estimated the  space that was restored in the axis of Khazar  by forty square kilometers,  and the troops  arrived to the area of Barttila , located about 25 kilometers east of Mosul .
In the axes of Makhmur  , southeast of Mosul,  six villages  were  restored from thecontrol of “Daesh  “They are : Abraham al- khalil , Adelah, Kan Harami, Abbas Rajab,  Al-Jadidah  and the troops of  ninth Division  of the Iraqi army and the peshmerga arrived  near  to balawat   village , which lies 37 kilometers from Mosul.  In the  axes of north and northwest of Mosul , the  sites “Daesh” were bombed   by aviation and artillery, but there was no ground attacks. In return , the militants “Daesh” set fire to a number of oil wells existing eastern city of Mosul , as well as ignite the grooves of the crude oil they have prepared in advance. The organization intensified  of suicide operations also  in the fighting axes in Al-Riqah  that explains  his  inability to fight in the open areas and the face of intense aerial bombardment.

A few days after the start of the battle, Haider Abadi, the Iraqi prime minister said that the military operations against Daesh taking place faster than expected, while the Command of the Peshmerga (armed Kurdish region forces)  announced  that it has launched an operation in a large scale , north and north-east of Mosul ; and announced the restoration of 12 villages in 3-axis northern city of Mosul, Nineveh province, and became on a distance  by 12 km north of the city.

The  command  of  operations of liberation of  Nineveh, said that it has been restored Khalidiya Village and Ain Marmeah  encircled  the village Salhiah  in the southern axes  of the eastern side of the Tigris River. The rapid forces of  federal police  managed to reach the intersection of the district of Shura of the southern sector of the Mosul  and took control of it; as the Iraqi military announced on Friday the restoration of the Christian  town of Bartella , east of Mosul.  And  announced the liberation of  78 villages and killed up to 800 armed  men of  the terrorist organization “Daesh”  ,a week after the start of the operation . In the  areas liberated  by of the Iraqi forces from   “Daesh”, it was disclosed of the devastation left by the terrorists on this lands marked  with a long history. In terms of Bartila east of Mosul, the cameras recorded large-scale destruction  made to the church Mart Hmona of Syrian Orthodox. With the approach of the allied forces from Mosul, the organization  Daesh   launched surprise attacks in other parts of the country. The violent  attack was targeted two days ago, the district of Rutba in Anbar province, hundreds of kilometers away from the city of Al -mosul.  Before the announcement of  Iraqi forces  that the Anbar Operations Command regained full control of the district of Rutba  west of the country, and  following  the rest of the elements of al-Daesh in the region after fierce battles with militants of the  regulation.

In this remarkable military progress of Iraqi forces in the fighting fronts in the battle of  al-Mosul against Daesh and the  confirmation of  the Pentagon in conjunction with the entry of the Battle of Mosul to the ninth day of liberation , nearly 800 square kilometers were liberated from  “Daesh” in the vicinity of Mosul. It is, according to information obtained by the Rawabet Center  for Research and Strategic Studies, which reports that within ten |to  fifteen days, Iraqi forces will liberate large parts of the left coast in the city of Mosul from the grip of the organization Daesh and  Iraqi flag will be raised  on them, and then  Daesh ill move with  their  military equipments and fighters to the right coast in Mosul after the booby-trap of bridges and main roads in the left coast of the city of Mosul. This case demonstrates the military retreat that suffered by the organization Daesh as a result of the multiple forms of attacks by Iraqi forces and the international coalition. And thus a move to the right coast of Mosul, may be an important sanctuary for the leaders of the organization Daesh due to  the fact that the coast is characterized by ancient warren  and narrow lanes. The organization aims to prolong the battle of Mosul, as much as possible, though  achieved, but it is in the rule of ending  considering  its existence as “temporary,” such as a grim chapter in the history of modern Iraq.
